That's not to say there's anything wrong in that, just that I wanted a way of using three decks and getting some additional features such as a library browse and kill switches on the mixer. By having a deck map and shift butons on my TSI, we massively increase the functionality of the mixer as otherwise there are very few buttons to work with if we dedicated the existing controls to two decks. There are many two deck templates available as that is the standard setup for this mixer.

I know it is not a flush, but if done yearly will keep the system in decent shape. Based on what I observed, I would recommend doing this service once a year starting around 50,000 miles. It will go to the recycling center along with used engine oil, oil filters, tranny fluid and brake fluid. Using a funnel, I transferred the old coolant into the empty gallon container. After a drive later, I let the van cool then opened the radiator cap to check the coolant. ![]() The coolant went down a bit so I added more. When full, I left the cap off, started the van, cranked the heater on high, and let the van warm up. Total coolant added was just under a gallon. I also added coolant to the overflow reservoir until it was about half full. Using a funnel, I slowly poured coolant into the radiator cap opening. I let the coolant slowly drain into the bucket. I loosened the plastic drain plug with my fingers. I opened the radiator cap, which is back by the engine, not on the radiator. This made it easier to fit a bucket under the coolant drain. I already had my van on ramps from doing the tranny drain and fill. I will be doing this procedure once a year from here on out. I know this is an old thread, but I did a drain and fill on my coolant this weekend and wanted to share my experience.
